Engineering Manager (Remote)

Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead teams focused on the development of foundational large language models, employing methods such as supervised fine tuning and reinforcement learning guided by human feedback.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise technical teams exceeding 20 developers skilled in Python, JavaScript, Java, and other programming languages to ensure effective task execution.
• Collaborate closely with client researchers to align on deliverables and ensure client satisfaction.
• Implement and maintain strict review procedures to guarantee dataset quality.
• Manage project lifecycles from initiation through stabilization, taking full ownership of delivery outcomes.
• Introduce and enforce standards that improve code quality across the team.

Required Qualifications

• At least 8 years of software engineering experience, including 3 or more years in a managerial role overseeing engineering teams.
• Proven track record managing large technical teams focused on delivery.
• Proficiency in Python, Java, and JavaScript.
• Hands-on experience in addressing and resolving technical quality challenges.
• Strong leadership and team motivation capabilities.
