Role Summary
The primary responsibility of this position is to execute maintenance processes by supporting the planning, scheduling, and management of both planned and unplanned maintenance activities on site. The role ensures that maintenance work is conducted safely, efficiently, and timely, optimizing resource use in compliance with REAM processes as well as overarching quality, safety, and regulatory standards.
Key Duties
- Facilitate planning and scheduling of maintenance tasks at the plant, ensuring effective resource allocation including manpower, materials, and pooled assets; adjust plans to accommodate unforeseen or emergency jobs.
- Coordinate with various plants to review and allocate shared resources, optimizing their use across locations.
- Develop and maintain multi-year plant maintenance plans and the annual REAM plan and budget in consultation with stakeholders.
- Monitor inventory levels for maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) items and oversee spare parts stock, initiating replenishment actions as needed.
- Support execution and planning of plant turnaround and shutdown activities following company philosophies, ensuring adherence to safety and quality criteria.
- Maintain an up-to-date job list within the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for all maintenance activities and ensure proper work order management within the CMMS framework.
- Contribute to root cause analyses, incident investigations, asset performance management (APM), and audits; provide feedback to improve maintenance and reliability strategies.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify capital expenditures arising from maintenance findings.
- Act as power user for SAP Equipment Master and Planned Maintenance modules on site, maintaining master data and configuring asset inspection and maintenance plans.
- Implement integrated management systems (IMS) for the department and monitor compliance regularly.
- Engage in risk management and site-wide reliability improvement initiatives.
- Prepare and share management information system (MIS) reports detailing key maintenance performance indicators (KPIs) such as schedule adherence, budget variance, and resource utilization.
- Monitor and communicate maintenance performance metrics to stakeholders and expedite action on recommendations from investigations and audits.
- Plan, conduct, and assist with system audits and coordinate REAM-related audit activities at the site.
- Follow all relevant company policies, standard operating procedures, and instructions to maintain controlled and consistent operational practices.
- Stay informed about industry best practices and trends to support continuous improvement of processes and systems.
Educational & Experience Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering is preferred.
- Experience of 0 to 3 years in maintenance or maintenance planning within similar or related industries.
