Role Responsibilities
- Execute electrical components for various capital and operational projects, offering engineering analyses, consulting, and project delivery assistance.
- Create and provide electrical construction work packages adhering to Chevron standards, industry regulations, and site prerequisites.
- Handle multiple projects simultaneously, managing priorities between projects and operational support.
- Apply Chevron and industry engineering standards alongside Safety in Design protocols.
- Review and validate electrical deliverables from engineering partners to ensure alignment with Chevron standards, downstream/midstream/chemical sector demands, and relevant codes.
- Lead electrical load studies including short circuit, arc flash, and system modeling (ETAP), create one-line diagrams, perform hazardous area classification, equipment sizing, inspection/test plans, and cable specifications.
- Address queries like RFIs, technical clarifications, and field changes while maintaining consistency with approved designs and standards.
- Support design and analysis of medium/low voltage power distribution, power monitoring solutions, lighting and receptacle design, grounding, trip coordination, motor parameters, constructability, and integration with existing brownfield facilities.
- Provide remote technical support to operations, maintenance, and technical teams for troubleshooting, repairs, and enhancements.
- Develop practical engineering solutions for safe, reliable, and operationally effective facilities.
- Assist with maintenance, turnarounds, and project implementations of engineering solutions.
- Manage electrical design-related Management of Change (MOC) tasks and field modifications.
- Work collaboratively with operations, maintenance, technical, and project teams to ensure solutions are safe, maintainable, and operable.
- Offer guidance on technical issues and support continuous improvement of electrical engineering tools and processes.
Qualifications Required
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (B.E./B.Tech) from an accredited university.
- At least 10 years’ experience in electrical engineering, including brownfield environments.
- Proven track record providing electrical engineering support within operating facilities.
Preferred Experience
- Between 10 to 15 years in oil & gas, refining, LNG, or petrochemical industries.
- Experience managing brownfield projects in onshore facilities or complex process operations.
- Strong project execution and stakeholder interface skills related to brownfield ventures.
Work Hours & Conditions
Working hours align with global business needs, Monday to Friday. Shifts are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM or 1:30 PM to 10:30 PM.
