This full-time position involves transforming plan drawings into precise fabrication drawings for Control Panels. The role also includes preparing detailed design drawings and specifications essential for manufacturing control panels.

Core Responsibilities

• Produce precise AutoCAD drawings to guide production teams in panel cut-outs, wiring layouts, and final control panel assembly.
• Work collaboratively with project managers to ensure design accuracy, compliance with industry standards, and project requirements.
• Coordinate with production and project teams to troubleshoot and resolve design and drawing discrepancies.
• Create or update schematic drawings, wiring diagrams, and equipment assembly plans.
• Maintain conformity with CP USA drawing standards to ensure uniformity.
• Incorporate feedback from production markups into revised drawings for final product alignment.
• Review cost estimates for proper components and integrate these into drawings accurately.
• Develop designs driven by contract drawings and specifications, as needed.
• Adhere to project schedules set by management.
• Prepare sample project drawings as part of interview processes if required.
• Demonstrate resourcefulness and teamwork by collaborating with multiple departments to identify necessary tools for project completion.
• Apply creativity within project parameters to enhance generalized design concepts.
• Perform additional tasks or projects assigned by supervisors.

Desired Qualifications

• Exposure to or experience in control panels or relay rack environments is advantageous but not mandatory.
• A minimum of eight years’ experience with AutoCAD software.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, etc.).
• Ability to interpret complex engineering documents, schematics, and electrical product specifications.
• Excellent verbal and written communication capabilities.
• Strong organizational aptitude and capability to manage multiple concurrent projects.
• Adherence to directions and procedural guidelines.
• Flexible in working independently or collaboratively as part of a team.
• Meticulous attention to detail with a high standard for accuracy.

Physical Demands

The position requires regular communication, auditory engagement, hand manipulation, arm extension, driving, sitting, and standing.
