About the Role

As a Doorman at St. Regis Hotels & Resorts in West Bay, Doha, you will play a crucial role in providing a warm and professional welcome to guests. This position involves greeting and escorting guests to their rooms, assisting with entry and exit from the property, and informing them about amenities and local attractions. You will also be responsible for handling guests' luggage, facilitating transportation arrangements, and ensuring the overall safety and comfort of visitors.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome and escort guests to their accommodations with courtesy.
• Open doors and assist guests and visitors entering or leaving the property.
• Provide information about hotel services, hours, and nearby points of interest.
• Explain room features such as key usage, minibar, safes, and valet services.
• Transport guests' luggage to and from rooms or bell areas; assist with luggage storage and retrieval.
• Help guests with vehicle loading and unloading and provide directions as needed.
• Arrange transportation services like taxis, shuttle buses, or limousines per guest requests and keep records.
• Communicate parking procedures clearly to guests and visitors.
• Adhere to company policies, report accidents or unsafe conditions promptly.
• Maintain vigilance regarding unauthorized individuals on hotel grounds.
• Ensure personal appearance and uniform meet professional standards and safeguard proprietary information.
• Provide accessible assistance to guests with disabilities and express genuine appreciation when interacting with guests.
• Use professional communication skills for in-person and telephone interactions.
• Foster positive relationships with colleagues and comply with quality assurance standards.
• Perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, lifting (up to 50 pounds independently or more with assistance), moving on uneven surfaces, and bending as required.
• Carry out additional duties as assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications

• Minimum education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• No prior related work experience or supervisory experience required.
• No licenses or certifications necessary.
