Role Overview
As a District Manager, your leadership guides a group of stores and coaches General Managers to ensure excellent customer and employee experiences, operational excellence, strong merchandising execution, maximum productivity, and profitable sales growth. You are responsible for delivering consistent high performance across all initiatives, measured through P&L and other operational metrics.
Primary Responsibilities
- Recruit, hire, develop, and retain top talent aligned with immediate and future business objectives.
- Regularly monitor store performance and ensure follow-ups that guarantee results.
- Enhance individual and team capabilities through clear goal-setting, purposeful communication, recognition, and accountability.
- Promote a diverse, inclusive, and collaborative workplace culture.
- Analyze product performance trends across your district and develop merchandising strategies using data, seasonal factors, and strategic insight.
- Conduct impactful store visits focused on driving behaviors that consistently achieve company goals.
- Implement multiple strategies to overcome challenges, including contingency planning.
- Identify problems and formulate sustainable solutions.
- Maintain thorough awareness of competitive landscape and external market conditions.
- Ensure all stores comply with company policies and procedural standards.
Candidate Profile
- Proven ability to drive results and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in coaching and building merchandising strengths within store teams.
- Capable of cultivating diverse, high-performing teams in an inclusive environment.
- Track record of delivering outstanding customer experiences across sales channels.
- Attribute for embracing challenges, taking calculated risks, rapid learning, and enabling change.
- Drive to exceed expectations and leverage continuous improvements for goal advancement.
- College degree preferred.
- At least 3 years of leadership experience overseeing multi-unit, high-volume, complex operations preferred.
- Flexibility to work varied schedules including days, nights, weekends, and holidays as business needs dictate.
- Willingness and ability to travel overnight or between stores as required.
- Physical capability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
