Distribution Center Assistant

Position Overview

This role involves supporting the daily activities within the warehouse, including the receipt, storage, scanning, and dispatching of goods. The aim is to ensure goods are handled correctly and inventory records remain accurate within the distribution center.

Primary Duties

• Assist with unloading, unpacking, and arranging incoming shipments following standard operating procedures.
• Support inventory management activities such as moving products, barcode scanning, and organizing items on shelves based on category and barcode data.
• Carry out physical tasks including lifting, loading, unloading, and packing items according to brand guidelines and dispatch instructions.
• Ensure assigned warehouse areas are kept clean and safe.
• Work closely with senior distribution center team members to guarantee timely and precise processing of outbound orders.
• Adhere to accurate documentation and labeling to aid inventory tracking and reduce errors.
• Notify supervisors of any stock discrepancies or damages and comply with directives for their resolution.

Experience and Knowledge

• Preferably has 1 to 2 years of hands-on experience in a warehouse or distribution center performing similar tasks.
• Demonstrated ability to manage inventory levels and perform periodic stock verifications.
• Basic familiarity with warehouse processes, barcode technology, and inventory systems.
