Over the decades, it has expanded into a leading global manufacturer with facilities across Canada, the USA, and China, serving worldwide markets.

Role Summary

The Die Cutter is responsible for transforming raw rubber mats into finished products based on customer specifications. This position also includes equipment maintenance and maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the die-cutting department.

Key Responsibilities

  • Cut raw mats from inventory according to specifications provided by customers.
  • Meet the production cut rate averages of 42 mats/hour on DC 1+3 and 58 mats/hour on DC 2 machines.
  • Complete precise daily shift reports documenting work output.
  • Organize and stack finished products neatly onto designated pallets.
  • Adhere to safe work practices including operating lock-out procedures.
  • Operate forklifts and other equipment safely and effectively.
  • Support machine head and blade replacement tasks.
  • Conduct minor maintenance on die-cutter machines including table and blade repairs, and machine cleaning with oiling and blowing off procedures.
  • Perform daily and weekly cleanup of the workspace to maintain quality standards.
  • Dispose of garbage and rubber scraps promptly when required.
  • Manage the organization of second grade mats separately from main orders.
  • Implement quality control checks verifying mat grading, quantities, pallet arrangements, size tolerances within ±1/8 inch, and accurate tagging.
  • Maintain employee attendance with absenteeism below 3.5%.
  • Carry out additional job-related duties as assigned.

  • Valid forklift certification and operational experience.
  • Physical stamina to perform labor-intensive tasks.
  • Flexibility to work various shift schedules.
  • Must provide personal CSA-approved steel-toed safety footwear.

Compensation

The position offers an hourly wage of $21.73.

Located in Abbotsford, British Columbia, this is a full-time, onsite role within the Die-Cutting department.
