Overview
Marico Limited is seeking an experienced professional to fill the role of Deputy Manager in Ecommerce. The ideal candidate will possess extensive expertise in managing e-commerce key accounts, particularly within the Beauty & Personal Care or FMCG sectors, and will be responsible for full ownership of revenue and profitability metrics across top e-commerce platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and achieve the Annual Operating Plan (AOP), taking complete responsibility for revenue generation and contribution margin including EBITDA.
- Oversee multi-crore monthly budgets pertaining to performance marketing and promotional activities across platforms.
- Develop a channel-specific product portfolio strategy, deciding on leading products for each marketplace.
- Lead performance marketing initiatives, including PPC and Amazon Marketing Services strategies, focusing on portfolio Return on Ad Spend (ROAS) while balancing brand building with conversion-focused ads.
- Identify market opportunities and gaps by analyzing search trends and competitor activities to inform new product development efforts.
- Collaborate with supply chain and demand planning teams to maintain inventory fill rates above 98%, minimizing out-of-stock issues.
- Strategize regional inventory deployment across Fulfillment By Amazon (FBA), Fulfillment By Flipkart (FBF), and regional centers to ensure next-day delivery capabilities.
- Manage relationships with marketplace managers (Amazon, Flipkart), resolving account issues and aligning internal teams to meet sales targets, ROI goals, and brand visibility requirements.
- Supervise day-to-day ecommerce platform operations, including product listing, forecasting, marketing, supply chain, and payment reconciliation.
- Conduct regular audits on product listings covering competition, keyword usage, and product visibility to drive corrective actions.
- Transition reporting from manual processes to automated real-time business intelligence dashboards monitoring metrics such as Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC), Lifetime Value (LTV), retention rate, Average Order Value (AOV), and contribution margins.
- Continuously monitor competitor pricing and market share to implement strategic pricing and promotional interventions.
- Coordinate forecasting and inventory management efforts to maintain optimal stock levels aligned with sales projections and ensure consistent product availability.
Qualifications and Experience
- A minimum of 4 to 6 years’ experience managing e-commerce key accounts, preferably within the Beauty & Personal Care or FMCG industries.
- Demonstrated expertise with platforms such as Nykaa, Purplle, and Amazon, including full P&L ownership.
- MBA or PGDM degree is mandatory.
