Role Summary
This is a full-time, on-site position in Barbados for a Delivery Driver. The person in this role will operate company vehicles safely to collect, move, and deliver goods to customers and business addresses. The job includes loading and unloading items, checking delivery paperwork, collecting cash or digital payments when needed, and delivering friendly, professional service at every stop. The driver will work to planned routes and schedules, complete basic vehicle safety inspections, and escalate any delays or vehicle concerns to the supervisor. Close coordination with warehouse and customer service teams will be important to keep deliveries accurate, timely, and customer-friendly.
Responsibilities
- Drive company vehicles safely for pickups, transport, and final delivery of goods.
- Load and unload products carefully while following safe handling procedures.
- Review delivery documents and confirm that items, addresses, and records are correct.
- Accept cash or electronic payments when required and handle them responsibly.
- Follow assigned routes and delivery schedules to meet timing expectations.
- Carry out simple vehicle safety checks before and during trips.
- Notify the supervisor about delays, incidents, or vehicle-related issues.
- Coordinate with warehouse and customer service teams to support smooth deliveries and a positive customer experience.
- Provide polite, helpful, and professional service at customer and business locations.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving history.
- Good knowledge of local routes in Barbados.
- Strong customer service and communication skills for interacting with customers and colleagues.
- Ability to use forklift equipment or similar material-handling tools safely.
- Comfort with following established procedures and supporting training or mentoring activities.
- Exposure to sales or food and beverage settings, especially in fast-paced customer-facing environments.
- Capability to lift and carry packages safely, remain on foot for long periods, and work in different weather conditions.
- Strong time management, attention to detail, and basic documentation skills for logs and delivery paperwork.
- Prior experience in delivery, logistics, or warehouse work is beneficial.
