Those within a 90-minute commute to our Oak Brook, IL headquarters must follow minimal in-office attendance guidelines (four days monthly, with at least one day on Monday or Friday, between 10 am and 2 pm). Role Summary and Responsibilities
The Data Scientist will be part of the CDB Strategy team, reporting to the Director of Data Science & Analytics. This role involves leveraging mathematical, statistical, and scientific models to generate meaningful business insights. Key activities include exploring large datasets, building predictive models, validating methodologies, and creating analytical tools that enhance business decision-making capabilities. Presentations to internal stakeholders regarding analytic findings and solutions are also expected.
Core Responsibilities
- Apply advanced programming techniques to analyze and interpret extensive structured and unstructured data sets.
- Design and implement predictive models to identify challenges, trends, and actionable recommendations.
- Develop and deliver presentations to effectively communicate analytic outcomes to internal teams.
- Support data-driven decision-making by providing insightful business analysis.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.
Preferred Qualifications
- 1 to 3 years of demonstrated experience in Data Science, Statistics, or Mathematics.
- Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related discipline.
- Excellent analytical skills paired with a proactive problem-solving mindset.
- Strong organizational capability and commitment to meeting deadlines.
- High attention to detail and efficiency in work processes.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word (including mail merge), and Outlook.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and handle multiple assignments simultaneously.
- Demonstrated teamwork and collaboration skills.
- Eagerness to learn and quickly adopt new methods and concepts.
- Experience working with Salesforce CRM is advantageous.
Compensation and Benefits
The annual salary ranges from $92,000 to $102,000, varying based on location, skills, and experience. Additional incentive and bonus opportunities may be included.
