Position Overview
We are recruiting on behalf of a client for a full-time Data Scientist/Analyst role to be performed remotely from anywhere. This position focuses on developing and sustaining high-quality Python code, with the goal of training and optimizing artificial intelligence models. Collaborating closely with researchers and annotators, the incumbent will partake in reinforcement learning utilizing human feedback and the refinement of reward models.
Primary Responsibilities
- Write, enhance, and maintain efficient and robust Python scripts aimed at training and fine-tuning AI models.
- Perform systematic evaluations to assess AI model performance and analyze results to promote continuous advancements.
- Rank and assess AI-generated responses to diverse user queries, ensuring they meet established standards.
- Produce detailed explanations and justifications for model evaluations, demonstrating sound reasoning combined with technical proficiency.
- Oversee supervised fine-tuning processes including the creation and upkeep of high-quality, task-specific datasets.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Strong command of Python programming for tasks involving data analysis and AI model development.
- Practical experience with data science methodologies and machine learning techniques.
- Keen business acumen and analytical skills to derive meaningful insights from publicly available data sources.
- Proficiency in debugging and the production of comprehensive technical documentation.
- Excellent communication capabilities to clearly explain logic and reasoning within Jupyter notebooks or similar environments.
