Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Data Scientist specializing in Financial Crime to join our team in Sydney for a 6-month contract. This role requires deep expertise in generative AI models applied to financial crime prevention.
Key Responsibilities and Expertise
- Develop and deploy generative AI models targeted at various applications within the financial crime domain, leveraging 3 to 5 years of relevant industry experience.
- Utilize advanced knowledge in deep learning, reinforcement learning, and generative techniques to create and implement successful AI-driven solutions.
- Apply natural language processing, large language models, generative AI frameworks (including OpenAI, Microsoft Cognitive Services), audio-to-text, text mining, image recognition, and machine learning methodologies.
- Demonstrate strong programming proficiency in Python and SQL for model development and data manipulation tasks.
- Use SAS and PowerBI tools effectively to enhance data analysis and visualization (experience preferred).
- Collaborate proficiently across cross-functional teams, communicating technical solutions clearly and mentoring team members toward project success.
- Possess familiarity with regulatory standards and frameworks such as AML (Anti-Money Laundering), KYC (Know Your Customer), and FATF guidelines to align AI solutions with compliance requirements.
Additional Information
The candidate must have a solid financial crime background to effectively address domain-specific challenges through AI technologies. Leadership and mentorship capabilities within team settings are also essential.
