About The Role
Join The Quality Group GmbH as a Data Analyst (gn) within the Business Insights Team. Based in Hamburg, this position offers a hybrid work arrangement and a complete 40-hour workweek. As part of the Digital Department, your responsibility will be to facilitate data-driven decisions company-wide. You will manage the entire analytics cycle—from assessing business needs and constructing dependable data infrastructures to creating insightful dashboards and generating actionable analyses. Interaction with stakeholders across multiple departments will be essential, as you convert their concerns into scalable data solutions. Your contributions will shape both strategic plans and operational productivity by delivering precise data, comprehensive reports, and visual tools supporting decision-makers at every level.
Qualifications
Applicants should have a minimum of two years' professional experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or analytics engineering. Proficiency in SQL and enthusiasm for data exploration are crucial. Practical knowledge of modern data transformation frameworks like dbt is required. Expertise in building dashboards with BI platforms such as Tableau, Looker, or Power BI is expected. A thorough grasp of data warehouse principles and the capability to translate business inquiries into scalable analytics solutions are vital. Effective communication skills for engaging both technical and non-technical stakeholders are necessary. Candidates must show initiative, responsibility, and a methodical, solution-focused approach. Fluency in English is mandatory, and skills in German are advantageous. Regular in-person collaboration at the Hamburg office is anticipated.
Responsibilities
- Partner with stakeholders to discern their analytic requirements and convert these into scalable data solutions.
- Create and oversee dependable, scalable datasets and reporting structures utilizing SQL and transformation tools like dbt.
- Design, develop, and refine dashboards to empower data-centric decision-making throughout the organization.
- Analyze datasets to detect trends, reveal opportunities, and offer concrete recommendations to enhance business outcomes.
- Establish and continuously advance key performance indicators, metrics, and reporting guidelines.
- Maintain high data quality standards through testing, validation processes, and structured analyses.
- Drive improvement in the analytics environment by creating documentation, standards, reusable modules, and best practices.
- Manage ownership of designated analytics topics, contributing to enhancing the team's overall expertise.
