Data Analyst

Overview

This role requires the Data Analyst to work onsite three days a week and remotely for two days each week. The primary objective is to ensure accurate and timely submission of regulatory filings while supporting comprehensive enterprise reporting across underwriting, finance, and operational divisions. The position balances strict compliance demands with ongoing business reporting necessities, maximizing efficiency during regulatory periods. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential to maintain data quality, regulatory adherence, and informed business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and submit required federal and state regulatory reports within prescribed deadlines.
• Analyze legislative and regulatory directives and transform them into detailed reporting guidelines.
• Collect, validate, and reconcile data essential for regulatory compliance submissions.
• Stay current on regulatory changes and evaluate how they influence reporting obligations.
• Assist with audits, inquiries, and regulatory requests by providing relevant documentation and analysis.
• Maintain detailed documentation encompassing filings, methodologies, and data sources.
• Develop recurring business reports, dashboards, and key performance indicators.
• Analyze client trends, performance metrics, and usage patterns.
• Support operational units with data preparation, analytical insights, and reporting contributions.
• Create and document scalable, repeatable reporting workflows.
• Partner with Data & Analytics teams to automate manual report generation processes.
• Ensure data accuracy, traceability, and audit readiness from source data through reports.
• Perform comprehensive data validation and reconciliation across multiple systems and reporting formats.
• Identify and apply enhancements to increase reporting precision and efficiency.
• Communicate insights and reporting results effectively to stakeholders and leadership.
• Complete all assigned mandatory and regulatory training programs.
• Engage in knowledge sharing and continuous process improvement initiatives.
• Undertake additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated strong investigative, analytical, and technical abilities.
• Excellent organizational and project management skills with proficiency in juggling multiple deadlines.
• Advanced expertise in Microsoft Excel and SQL querying.
• Ability to interpret complex regulatory and legislative language and convert it into reporting requirements.
• Knowledge of data validation, reconciliation procedures, and quality assurance techniques.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Effective interpersonal skills combined with a cooperative mindset.

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Data Analytics, Business, Finance, Healthcare Administration, or a related discipline. Healthcare industry experience is advantageous. Proficiency with MS-SQL Server and relational databases is expected. Familiarity with business intelligence (BI), ETL (Extract, Transform, Load), and reporting tools is beneficial.

Compensation and Additional Information

The annual salary ranges from $65,000 to $70,000, with the final compensation package based on an evaluation of relevant skills, experience, and education. The hiring organization complies with all applicable local, state, and federal wage regulations.
