Role Overview
Are you eager to understand financial instruments and the utilization of data within the Asset Management lifecycle? Do you have a passion for solving business challenges and creating significant impact? Do you wish to deepen your knowledge of the Asset Management sector? If so, we are seeking a candidate to lead Data Services Operations in Pune, responsible for maintaining stable business-as-usual (BAU) delivery, managing escalations, overseeing projects, and ensuring consistent data quality across datasets.
In this leadership position, you will supervise multiple teams, uphold accountability, and serve as the connection between Data Services leads and stakeholders.
Team and Function
The UBS Asset Management Data Services team delivers timely, accurate, and comprehensive Security Reference & Price Data, Analytics, Index, and Benchmark data to the Asset Management Division, adhering to defined requirements.
Positioned between Business and Technology units, the AM Security Reference & Price Data team operates within the Asset Management COO function, charged with governing and innovating data management through pioneering technology and services. The team works 24/6 to provide uninterrupted support to the Asset Management Division, with members located globally across Chicago, Krakow, Zurich, Singapore, and Pune.
Key Responsibilities
- Explore and apply AI to enhance the construction, delivery, and optimization of workflows, exercising sound judgment to validate results in alignment with policies, risk standards, and ethical considerations.
- Oversee day-to-day operations ensuring stable BAU delivery across teams.
- Implement process improvements to streamline operations.
- Serve as the escalation contact point for data and process issues with stakeholders.
- Monitor and report on risks, including Non-Financial Risk Indicators (NFRI) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Lead and manage multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously.
- Collaborate with IT, data providers, and global stakeholders to develop data solutions.
- Identify opportunities to enhance data management processes, improving efficiency and automating manual tasks.
- Contribute subject matter expertise to team, function, division, and organization-wide data and business efforts.
- Proactively identify and resolve potential issues and risks before escalation.
- Follow escalation protocols diligently, escalating issues timely as needed.
