Custodian

Overview

The Custodian plays a crucial role in upholding cleanliness and sanitation standards within and around company premises as defined by organizational policies.

Key Duties

• Operate equipment such as hand brooms, power scrubbers, sweepers, and vacuum cleaners to clean the terminal according to company requirements.
• Ensure daily removal of refuse from offices, restrooms, and break areas, keeping trash receptacles clean and empty.
• Maintain restrooms by replenishing essential supplies consistently.
• Move, relocate, and adjust office furniture as necessary to support facility operations.
• Monitor pest control measures and maintain the highest standards of sanitation and housekeeping.
• Clear ice and snow from pedestrian paths and parking lots to ensure safety.
• Keep company grounds free of litter and debris to uphold a clean environment.
• Prepare labor and equipment reports as mandated by the company.
• Maintain logs of repairs categorized by equipment type.
• Generate accurate and thorough records and reports as required.
• Report any safety issues promptly to the shift supervisor.
• Adhere strictly to OSHA and MSDS regulations and standards.
• Perform additional tasks assigned by the Operations Manager.

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail.
• Effective communication abilities.
• Previous related experience is mandatory.

Compensation and Benefits

The base pay rate for this role starts at $18.50 per hour, with adjustments based on experience, qualifications, education, and location. Additional hourly pay may be available for shift work.
