About the Role
We are seeking a Creative Studio Manager based in Canada to lead the operational success of a creative team focused on impactful healthcare and life sciences communications. This role integrates creative operations, project management, and team coordination to guarantee efficient and high-quality delivery of creative projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of the creative team by assigning, tracking, prioritizing, and ensuring timely project completion.
- Manage production workflows and guarantee designers and external partners receive the necessary resources and guidance to produce exemplary work.
- Assess team capacity, aligning individual skills with project requirements for optimal resource allocation.
- Facilitate onboarding and integration of new hires and freelance creatives.
- Continuously improve systems, processes, and best practices to boost team efficiency and output quality.
- Monitor project timelines, identify risks, troubleshoot production issues, and implement solutions to meet deadlines.
- Serve as the primary liaison between creative, client engagement, project management, scientific, digital, and other stakeholder teams.
- Review deliverables pre-final approval to ensure adherence to quality and project criteria.
- Collaborate with project management on deliverables, progress evaluation, resource management, and budgeting.
- Coordinate with external vendors and partners to ensure smooth project execution.
- Identify and recommend process improvements including tools and software to enhance collaboration and productivity.
Candidate Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Graphic Design, Interaction Design, Fine Arts, Technology, or related field.
- A minimum of 6 years’ experience in a creative agency or similar environment, including at least 3 years in managerial or operational roles.
- In-depth knowledge of creative production processes, workflows, and delivery standards.
- Proven leadership capabilities in mentoring and supporting cross-functional creative teams.
- Strong skills in managing resources, timelines, budgets, priorities, and production demands.
- Proficient with creative software such as Adobe Creative Cloud, Figma, and PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with print and digital design standards and production requirements.
- Excellent communication skills, able to work with creative and non-creative stakeholders.
- Highly organized with a focus on process improvements and operational efficiency.
- A solution-driven approach featuring strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Capacity to uphold quality standards while managing tight deadlines and multiple priorities.
- Experience collaborating with interdisciplinary teams and external partners.
Compensation and Benefits
