Position Summary

The Core Inspector is tasked with examining, assessing, and processing returned core diesel components to ensure compliance with acceptance standards and quality benchmarks. This role involves precise classification, maintaining accurate documentation, managing inventory records, and coordinating with internal departments to support efficient core returns and credit processes. The position adheres to established standard operating procedures (SOPs) and requires detailed visual and dimensional inspections of components as well as systematic documentation of findings.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect incoming cores following defined acceptance criteria and SOPs.
• Conduct thorough visual and dimensional assessments to determine core eligibility and condition.
• Verify cores meet like-for-like replacement standards and correctly classify items.
• Accurately document inspection results through RMA reports and system data entry within the ERP platform.
• Capture and maintain photographic evidence supporting inspections and decision-making.
• Label, segregate, and store cores approved or rejected in designated areas.
• Process core returns, credits, and inventory transactions as per procedures.
• Ensure all core-related data entries and transactions are precisely recorded in the ERP system.
• Update RMA notes based on customer feedback and necessary follow-up actions.
• Communicate inspection outcomes and assist internal teams with core-related inquiries.
• Escalate discrepancies involving missing, incorrect, or mismatched cores to supervisors and sales personnel.
• Collaborate across departments to resolve core issues and enhance operational workflows.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the inspection area while complying with safety protocols.
• Perform additional tasks as delegated by management to support business objectives.

Qualifications & Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior experience in quality inspection, warehouse operations, automotive parts, or manufacturing environments is preferred.
• Hands-on experience with forklift and electric pallet jack operation in warehouse or manufacturing settings.
• Familiarity with ERP or warehouse management systems is an advantage.
• Ability to interpret technical specifications, procedures, and documentation.
• Competency in using computer systems, scanners, tablets, and warehouse platforms.
• Exceptional attention to detail capable of discerning component condition variations.
• Strong organizational ability to manage competing priorities efficiently.
• Basic mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and teamwork capabilities.
• Legal authorization to work in Canada is mandatory.

Compensation and Schedule

Hourly wage ranges from $20 to $22 per hour.

Work schedule is Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.
