About the Role

The Coordinator of Tours & Group Event Sales will support various sales activities related to ballpark tours and the management of group spaces during Padres games and other ticketed events at Petco Park or venues overseen by Finest Collective. This role involves assisting with client site visits, preparing proposals, managing ticketing details, and coordinating event logistics. It requires collaboration with multiple departments to ensure alignment on timelines and event goals, alongside a detail-oriented and fast-paced work approach.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in organizing site visits and communicating with clients regarding group spaces for Padres games and other ticketed events.
  • Support sales processes by preparing contracts, updating invoices, and facilitating timely payment collection.
  • Enhance client experiences by identifying opportunities to improve their orders.
  • Serve as the primary contact for select ticketed event clients, coordinating event details internally and supporting client needs before and during events.
  • Ensure smooth coordination across departments such as ticketing, security, guest services, operations, and catering for sold group spaces.
  • Manage delivery of tickets, catering, and arrivals to guarantee a positive experience on event day.
  • Track attendance, conduct post-event evaluations, collect feedback, and follow up with clients.
  • Oversee the Hotel Concierge Connect program focused on leisure travel partnerships.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Creative teams to maintain and update sales collateral and digital media.
  • Research market trends and potential opportunities actively.
  • Maintain professional networks within the event industry.
  • Support Finest Experiences by coordinating buyer communication and executing plans.
  • Create content and manage live postings on Finest social media channels.
  • Assist with Petco Park tours including ticketing, guest check-in, coordinating private tours, and handling event logistics.
  • Disseminate information regarding internal and external events, update calendars, and communicate ballpark restrictions.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned, maintaining professionalism and attention to detail.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Proficient with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and CRM systems; capacity to learn new technologies.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Professional demeanor with discretion, integrity, and accountability.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is advantageous.
  • Minimum age of 18 years at employment start.
  • High school diploma or GED required; some college coursework preferred.
  • At least 1-2 years of relevant experience.
  • Availability to work Padres home games, holidays, evenings, and weekends as needed.
  • Physical ability to navigate and access multiple ballpark areas and lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Successful completion of background check and other pre-employment criteria.

Compensation and Benefits

The base hourly wage ranges from $26 to $30 for this full-time role, with eligibility for overtime. Compensation is influenced by experience, education, skills, and other relevant factors. The Padres offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision insurance, 401(k) with matching contributions, basic and supplemental life insurance options, pet insurance, paid time off and holidays, employee parking, onsite barista service, weekly lunch, employer-provided game tickets, fitness classes, ballpark discounts, and occasional work-from-home Fridays during the offseason or team travel periods.
