About the Role
Join KPMG Canada as a Contract Specialist within the Contingent Labour Office (CLO), partnering with business units to efficiently and effectively onboard and manage external resources across the country. This role supports over 1000 external engagements annually, ranging from individual contractors to large organizations, ensuring alignment with firm policies while fostering a customer-focused experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a knowledgeable advisor to Hiring Managers by applying expertise to guide engagement of contingent workers critical to project and client success.
- Utilize and promote technology solutions to enhance the CLO workflows, client interactions, and resource utilization efficiency.
- Drive improvements in internal processes, maintain documentation, and educate relevant stakeholders on CLO operations and policies.
- Manage case intake by facilitating discussions with senior hiring managers, conducting due diligence (including background and independence checks), and maintaining transparent communication with stakeholders throughout the engagement lifecycle.
- Handle inquiries related to CLO operations by providing clear guidance or directing requests appropriately.
- Lead initiatives to refine process governance, update SOPs and templates, and champion change management related to contingent labour policies and procedures.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum 3 to 5 years in a case management or similar operational role, preferably involving agencies, staffing, or contingent workforce management.
- Outstanding communication skills in English, both written and oral; bilingualism including French is advantageous.
- Proven ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships, including senior partners, contractors, and internal departments such as ITS and Finance.
- High attention to detail with strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated success in operational excellence projects and process improvement efforts.
- Proficiency with vendor management systems (e.g., Flextrack, Beeline) and technology platforms like ServiceNow and advanced MS Office Excel capabilities.
- Completion of a College or University degree in a relevant discipline.
Additional Information
This role is primarily virtual with potential requirement to attend the office 1-2 days per month for meetings. Candidates must be fluent in English as they will collaborate extensively with English-speaking colleagues.
Salary range: CAD 55,000 to CAD 82,000 per annum, commensurate with location, experience, and qualifications. The position is eligible for bonus awards and benefits through KPMG's Total Rewards program.
