Job Role and Responsibilities

As a Continuous Improvement Specialist within the Finance Department, you will work under the guidance of the CI Manager to drive process improvement initiatives that enhance business operations. Your core duties encompass:

• Evaluating current processes and implementing targeted enhancements to streamline key financial and business procedures.
• Designing streamlined, controlled, and scalable future-state workflows to facilitate company growth.
• Conducting root-cause analyses to uncover risks and deliver innovative problem-solving solutions.
• Preparing business cases and high-level presentations to persuade leadership regarding improvement opportunities.
• Fostering cross-functional collaboration via workshops to secure consensus on continuous improvement projects.
• Crafting and executing change management plans that encourage adoption of new processes and tools.
• Ensuring stakeholder readiness through training, communications, and ongoing support after implementation.
• Supporting project phases ranging from analysis through deployment and maintenance alongside the CI Manager and Director.
• Defining and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the effectiveness and benefits of improvement efforts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Project Management, or a related discipline.
• 3-5 years of relevant professional experience.
• Deep understanding of accounting and financial processes, including month-end close, financial reporting, and general ledger management.
• Certifications such as Lean, Six Sigma, Agile, or equivalent are advantageous; experience in consulting is a plus.
• Strong analytical abilities, critical thinking, and structured problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional communication, stakeholder engagement, and leadership capabilities.
• Proven ability to influence teams across departments without formal authority.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Visio.
• French and English bilingualism is considered an asset.
