Consultant - Internal Auditing

Position Overview

Our respected client, Malomatia, is in search of an Internal Auditor to rigorously evaluate financial and operational processes. This role ensures accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with internal policies, regulatory obligations, and industry norms.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out internal audits to assess financial and operational control effectiveness.
• Examine business procedures for adherence to company policies and regulatory dictates.
• Detect risks such as fraud, waste, inefficiencies, and flaws in controls.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards like IFRS, GAAP, and other relevant regulations.
• Assess internal control measures and suggest enhancements.
• Compile audit reports detailing findings, risk evaluations, and practical recommendations.
• Communicate audit outcomes to management to aid informed decision-making.
• Track and ensure timely resolution of audit findings through corrective measures.
• Contribute to continuous improvement efforts across finance and operational areas.

Candidate Profile

• Possesses 6 to 22 years of relevant experience depending on level (Officer, Senior, Expert).
• Demonstrated background in internal, financial, or operational auditing.
• Comprehensive understanding of accounting principles, internal controls, and risk management methods.
• Experience identifying process gaps and delivering feasible solutions.
• Knowledgeable about regulatory and compliance frameworks.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and reporting capabilities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Holds professional accreditations such as CPA, ACCA, CMA, or equivalents.
• Familiarity with GSAS standards related to building management and sustainability is considered advantageous.
