Role Overview

Join GT Educational Institute as a Computer Science Tutor, where you will provide tailored academic support to undergraduate students. You will design and deliver individual or small-group sessions, covering a comprehensive range of fundamental and advanced Computer Science topics. This position requires the ability to adapt teaching materials to students’ varying backgrounds and to foster analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver engaging and interactive Computer Science lessons to individuals and small groups.
Teach essential modules such as programming, algorithms, software engineering, databases, and computer systems.
Communicate complex technical material in a way that is accessible for students with diverse levels of experience.
Support students through coursework, lab tasks, programming exercises, and major projects, ensuring academic integrity.
Strengthen students’ problem-solving, analytical, and computational logic abilities.
Offer feedback on coding assignments, reports, and practical projects to facilitate improvement.
Guide students in debugging code and refining their programming practices.
Develop customized lesson plans and learning tools to address individual academic needs.
Track student development and provide regular progress updates to the Academic Team or guardians.
Stay informed on emerging trends in Computer Science and educational technologies.
Adhere to the institute’s professional standards and code of conduct.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or related discipline is required; Master’s degree is ideal for teaching advanced modules.
Consistently strong academic performance in tertiary education.
Prior experience in teaching, tutoring, as a teaching assistant, or lecturer is a plus.
Industry exposure in software engineering, AI, cloud, or cybersecurity is beneficial.

Required Technical Skills

Proficiency in languages: Python, Java, C++, C, SQL, JavaScript
Experience with tools: Git, GitHub, Linux, Visual Studio Code, IntelliJ IDEA, Eclipse, PyCharm
Deep understanding of: Data Structures & Algorithms, OOP, Software Engineering, Database Design, Operating Systems, Computer Networks and Architecture, Software Testing, Version Control
Additional knowledge (a plus): AI, Machine Learning, Data Science, AWS/Azure/Google Cloud, Docker, Kubernetes, DevOps, Mobile App Development

Computer Science Tutor

Where you'll work
