Job Responsibilities
- Serve as the local Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO), overseeing Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Counter-Terrorist Financing (CTF), sanctions compliance, and managing suspicious transaction reports (STR) for local operations.
- Design, communicate, and execute a structured methodology for risk management, advising senior leaders on risk implications related to new projects or regulatory changes.
- Report to the Group Head of Compliance and collaborate closely with the executive leadership team and founders on important global compliance initiatives.
- Create and oversee local compliance policies and frameworks to ensure adherence to all relevant regulations, codes of conduct, and industry best practices.
Candidate Requirements
- Possess 5 to 8 years of compliance experience within financial services. Credentials such as CAMS or experience in fine-tuning transaction monitoring systems are advantages.
- Background in fintech or payment companies, or proven experience in establishing compliance functions within financial institutions, is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively and build effective relationships with internal teams and regulators.
- Comfortable managing uncertainty and flexible in responding to evolving compliance and regulatory environments.
