Role Overview

We are searching for a meticulous and analytically driven Compensation Lead to take ownership of our compensation systems' full lifecycle. This includes managing tools such as Radford (for survey reporting) and Pave (for compensation cycle management), ensuring alignment with Affirm’s policies and employee needs. The role involves leading daily compensation operations and maintaining competitive, effective compensation programs.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the complete execution of semiannual compensation processes.
• Lead and participate in all facets of annual compensation studies evaluating Affirm’s market competitiveness, including auditing job roles (responsibilities, duties, requirements), coordinating benchmarking survey submissions and reviews, and analyzing and recommending modifications to cash and equity compensation frameworks.
• Perform specialized projects involving various compensation analyses such as incentive pay, equity programs, and pay equity assessments.
• Manage pay reporting procedures across the different geographic locations Affirm operates in.
• Support the development and delivery of compensation training and communication initiatives.

Desired Qualifications & Attributes

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in compensation or people analytics.
• Familiarity with compensation management platforms, preferably Pave.
• Strong passion for data analytics, capable of converting raw data into actionable business insights using tools like Excel, Google Sheets, Sigma Computing, Claude Code, etc.
• Exceptional attention to detail, reliable, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Excellent team player with a cooperative approach, effective communication skills, and the ability to meet project deadlines across internal teams.
• Exemplifies sound judgment and integrity; handles sensitive and confidential matters maturely.
• Proven analytical skills dealing with complex data and multifaceted problem-solving.
• Effective verbal and written communicator able to simplify complex information for employees and senior leadership.
• Highly organized with the capacity to juggle multiple shifting priorities in a fast-paced setting.
• Strong customer service orientation.
• Knowledgeable in regulatory compliance related to compensation plans and capable of ensuring all programs adhere to legal requirements.

Compensation and Benefits

Affirm offers a straightforward and transparent pay structure based on several factors including geography, experience, and skills. Typical base salary for this role ranges from $112,000 to $172,000 annually in Canada. The total compensation includes equity rewards, monthly stipends for health, wellness, technology spending, and comprehensive benefits covering 100% of medical, dental, and vision premiums for employees and their dependents.

Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. Affirm operates as a remote-first company with the majority of roles supporting flexible remote work options across the country. Some roles require occasional presence at designated office locations depending on job responsibilities.
