About ALS and the Role

We invite motivated individuals, including those transitioning into analytical laboratory careers, to join our team in Mackay, Queensland as Coal Quality Testers. Both casual and full-time positions are available, working day shifts with comprehensive training provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform various coal testing procedures accurately and efficiently.
- Operate and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment.
- Validate testing outcomes ensuring precision and repeatability.
- Follow Quality Work Instructions and Standard Operating Procedures without deviation.
- Place high priority on safety and timely processing of test results.
- Ensure the laboratory and workspace remain clean, organized, and compliant with safety regulations.
Candidate Profile
- Demonstrate dedication to safety standards, quality, and effective collaboration within teams.
- Possess meticulous attention to detail paired with strong organizational skills.
- Communicate clearly and reliably in the workplace.
- Previous experience in coal testing or laboratory settings is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Hold a valid Driver's License.
