Position Overview
We are looking for entry-level candidates for the Clinical Research Assistant position at our Dallas, TX facility. This role provides foundational experience in clinical research operations including patient interactions, data handling, and regulatory adherence under the supervision of more senior clinical research staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in study startup tasks such as managing supplies, preparing documents, and getting the site ready for initiation.
- Support participant screening by organizing screening visits and gathering preliminary information like demographics and medical history for eligibility evaluation.
- Coordinate and prepare participant visits, including source document preparation and lab kit management.
- Maintain participant communication by confirming appointments and arranging transportation.
- Accompany participants onsite and assist with procedures like vital sign measurements, ECGs, and specimen collection following training.
- Ensure meticulous, ALCOA+-compliant documentation for assigned tasks.
- Input data accurately into electronic data capture (EDC) systems and address queries.
- Manage study binders, charts, logs, and supply inventories.
- Digitally capture paper source documents adhering to regulatory and site-specific standards for audit readiness.
- Obtain and track medical releases and external medical/pharmacy records as per protocols and SOPs.
- Assist in preparation for monitoring visits to ensure compliance and audit preparedness.
- Support investigational product accountability under supervision, ensuring protocol and SOP adherence.
- Develop knowledge of site SOPs, institutional policies, and Good Clinical Practice (GCP) standards.
- Assist in data collection and entry into trackers and logs with focus on accuracy and timeliness.
- Help maintain accurate records and update study performance metrics.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED minimum; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- No prior clinical research experience required; comprehensive training provided.
- Basic familiarity with clinical research principles is advantageous.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Openness to perform phlebotomy and clinical tasks following training.
