Role Overview
The Client Onboarding Manager acts as the primary guide for new customers acquired through partnerships, facilitating their seamless adoption of Connecteam’s platform. This role encompasses end-to-end implementation, starting from initial handoff, through kickoff, to successful payroll launch and initial payroll stabilization. It involves hands-on project management, system configuration, in-depth understanding of payroll processes, customer training, and coordination across multiple functions and teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the entire onboarding journey for partner-originated customers from internal handoff to go-live and the completion of initial payroll cycles.
- Develop and execute comprehensive implementation plans aligned with first clock-in dates, payroll schedules, training needs, and payroll-processing deadlines.
- Conduct kickoff meetings, platform setup, client training, and oversee payroll processing.
- Maintain transparent timelines, assign responsibilities, track next steps, identify risks, and communicate clearly with customers throughout implementation.
- Engage in discovery and solution design by understanding customer workflows and translating business requirements into effective Connecteam configurations.
- Configure system settings and integrations to suit complex client needs and ensure accurate data flow.
- Deliver tailored training sessions on the Connecteam platform, time tracking, and payroll workflows adapted to the customer's organizational size and complexity.
- Collaborate closely with partner Implementation Managers and internal teams including Sales, Support, Product, Integrations, and leadership to ensure a cohesive process.
- Investigate and troubleshoot issues across workflows, escalate payroll-related risks with appropriate documentation, and maintain detailed records of account configurations and project updates.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum of two years in customer-facing SaaS roles focused on implementation or onboarding, particularly with SMB and mid-market clients.
- Proven project management capabilities handling multiple concurrent implementations effectively.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills capable of conveying technical information to varied audiences.
- Strong aptitude for quickly learning software systems, troubleshooting, and understanding integrations and data flows.
- Meticulous organizational skills, attention to detail, and a customer-centered mindset for managing complex projects.
- Ability to cultivate and maintain trusted relationships with customers and cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.
- Effective problem-solving skills, sound judgment, and capacity to handle ambiguity and evolving customer needs.
Preferred Experience
- Background in payroll, HRIS, workforce management, scheduling, time & attendance, or employee management software platforms.
- Experience with payroll implementations, PEO environments, or managing multi-location/multi-entity clients.
- Familiarity working within partner-led or channel sales environments.

Additional Information
Salary is set at $90,000 annually. This position is available to applicants residing in Texas, New York, New Jersey, South Carolina, North Carolina, Colorado, Florida, Utah, and Georgia.
