Role Overview

The Commercial Sourcing Manager is responsible for overseeing the entire lifecycle of commercial customer contracts supporting the Contract Manufacturing Organization (CMO) business. This role ensures contracts align with business goals, operational feasibility, financial objectives, and compliance, facilitating timely agreement execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage contract processes for designated commercial accounts from initial intake through execution, amendment, renewal, and closure.
• Draft, review, and negotiate various commercial contracts including Master Service/Supply Agreements, Statements of Work, change orders, pricing schedules, payment terms, escalation clauses, confidentiality agreements, and related documents.
• Ensure contract provisions match approved commercial strategies, pricing, margins, operational capabilities, and acceptable risk levels.
• Identify and report contractual risks or deviations, suggesting mitigation approaches in line with company playbooks.
• Collaborate with Legal, Finance, Quality, Program Management, and Operations for contract validation, compliance, and feasibility.
• Maintain and update standardized contracting templates, clause libraries, and playbooks for efficient deal progression.
• Administer executed contracts by interpreting terms, managing changes, scope or term extensions, and supporting dispute resolution.
• Keep accurate contract records in CLM/CRM platforms such as Salesforce, documenting key metadata, obligations, and renewal dates.
• Assist with audits, internal compliance checks, and continuous improvement of contracting workflows.

Qualification Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in legal studies, finance, supply chain, or a related field.
• 7 to 10 years of experience in contract management, commercial operations, legal operations, or procurement, specifically in pharmaceutical, biotech, or FDA-regulated environments.
• Experience with CDMO/CMO operations, including familiarity with GMP/GxP standards and interfaces between quality agreements and customer contracts.
• Proficiency in drafting and negotiating contracts involving MSAs, SOWs, change management, pricing, indemnities, and liability limitations.
• Skilled using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and CLM/CRM systems.
• Contract Management certification (WorldCC/IACCM, NCMA) is preferred.

Additional Details

• Location: Spokane, WA with options for remote or hybrid work arrangements.
• Employment type: Full-time contract position.
• Work schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
• Compensation: Annual salary range $104,550 to $167,300 plus a 10% bonus, with opportunities for growth and raises.
