About the Role
The Client Associate will provide practical support to client teams and help with the development and rollout of campaigns designed to achieve client goals within the broader strategy. This person will be a key part of the team, contributing to both client-facing and internal work while learning more about campaign management, strategic planning, and communications.
This is a full-time role based in Alexandria, Virginia, and follows a hybrid schedule with three in-office days each week.
What You'll Do
- Support client teams and project work through research, data collection, agenda preparation, note-taking, and campaign coordination.
- Help create stakeholder background materials, communication assets, presentations, and other deliverables with a strong focus on accuracy.
- Monitor media coverage, review competitors, and summarize insights in a clear and concise way.
- Assist with the logistics and coordination needed for meetings, presentations, and events.
- Work closely with senior colleagues, take guidance proactively, and apply feedback to strengthen your skills.
- Keep project files, schedules, and reporting organized and up to date.
- Contribute to internal initiatives, as well as new business and marketing efforts.
- Take on additional tasks as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, political science, public affairs, or a similar field.
- About 1 to 3 years of professional experience, ideally in a consultancy, agency, or related setting.
- Strong writing and proofreading ability, with close attention to detail.
- Dependable work style with strong personal accountability, especially around deadlines and client-ready output.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and client service skills.
- Good understanding of traditional and digital media, plus awareness of how communications is changing across digital channels.
- Strong time management and the ability to handle several priorities at once.
- Self-driven, polished, and comfortable working in an entrepreneurial environment.
- Experience with media contact tools and media compilation services is an advantage.
- Comfortable using the MS Office Suite and preferably familiar with research tools.
- Open to different viewpoints and able to collaborate effectively with others.

Work Location
This position is based in the company’s Alexandria, VA headquarters. The workplace model is hybrid, and employees are expected to work from the office three days per week.
