Cleaning Team Leader

About the Role

Amey is seeking permanent Cleaning Team Leaders to manage cleaning operations at the Bradford Schools Private Finance Initiative site, which includes 10 schools (7 secondary and 3 special educational needs) located at Hanson Academy, Swain House Rd, Sutton Ave, Bradford BD2 1JP. This on-site position offers a competitive salary of 14.12 per hour with working hours scheduled from 4:00pm to 8:00pm, Monday through Friday, totaling 20 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the cleaning team, performing essential people management tasks.
• Conduct biweekly cleaning audits to identify and implement improvements.
• Manage stock levels, order supplies through appropriate channels to ensure continuous service delivery.
• Operate cleaning machinery safely according to guidelines and training provided.
• Deliver training sessions to cleaners on Amey’s procedures, including refresher training every six months.
• Address and resolve team member concerns or escalate issues to management if necessary.
• Execute other reasonable duties as directed by the line manager.
• Ensure health and safety standards are consistently maintained throughout the contract.
• Support local and business-wide zero carbon initiatives strategically where relevant.

• Highly organized, accountable, and detail-oriented with strong efficiency.
• Excellent customer service skills; approachable, friendly with a positive attitude towards work.
• Eager to learn and capable of supporting colleagues.
• Previous cleaning experience is required.
