Class 1 Day Driver

Position Overview

We are looking for a qualified Class 1 Day Driver to join our team in Aberdeen. This role works on a 4-on 4-off day shift schedule and involves delivering milk cage products to multiple retail locations using a refrigerated trailer.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate a refrigerated trailer for multi-drop deliveries of milk cage goods to retail outlets across Aberdeen and the surrounding Aberdeenshire area.
• Ensure all cargo is properly loaded and securely fastened using straps, nets, or other securing devices to prevent movement or damage during transit.
• Conduct thorough daily vehicle safety inspections, documenting checks with the company phone to maintain high safety and reliability standards.
• Maintain ongoing communication with the transportation team to relay progress updates and meet customer service expectations.
• Attend regular training sessions to stay current with industry regulations and best practices.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Possession of a valid UK Class 1 CE driving license is essential.
• Current Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (DCPC) and Digital Tachograph Card required.
• Experience driving refrigerated trailers is preferable but not necessary, as full training will be provided.
• Strong commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
• Ability to meet deadlines consistently.
• Confident, courteous, and able to work cohesively within a team environment.
• Physically fit, adaptable, self-driven, and hardworking.

Compensation and Benefits

• Competitive hourly wage of £16.63, with daily overtime compensated after 11 working hours.
• Shift timing runs from 5:00 AM to 4:00 PM on a 4-day work followed by a 4-day off rotation.
