Job description

Overview

East Suffolk Council is seeking a dedicated Choice Based Lettings Officer to join their Housing Needs Team. This permanent position, located in Woodbridge, supports local residents by managing housing allocations and assisting individuals with varying housing needs under relevant housing legislation.

Role Responsibilities

The officer will deliver a comprehensive Choice Based Lettings service focused mainly on Part VI of housing legislation, including managing housing registers and allocations. This role also supports adherence to Part VII and the Homelessness Reduction Act 2017 by providing housing advice and support to customers to achieve suitable housing outcomes.

Candidate Requirements

Desirable experience includes familiarity with social housing allocations or homelessness sectors. The ideal candidate must possess strong interpersonal abilities and maintain composure in challenging scenarios. A keen attention to detail is essential for ensuring accuracy in service delivery.
