About KidStrong

Our mission is to help parents recognize their child’s unique strengths and prepare kids to be confident in social and academic environments, ultimately equipping them for life’s challenges.
Role Overview
KidStrong North Scottsdale is expanding and seeks an enthusiastic Children's Coach with a passion for inspiring kids and engaging parents. This role focuses on delivering a dynamic, science-based curriculum for children aged 12 months to 11 years, supporting their physical, cognitive, and character development.
Responsibilities
- Lead classes of 6-15 children, aged between 12 months and 11 years, using the KidStrong curriculum
- Ensure timely start and completion of classes, maintaining pace with the curriculum
- Welcome children and their parents or guardians individually at each session
- Create a lively, motivating, and professional environment during sessions
- Demonstrate exercises and oversee safe execution
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the facility, including lobby, bathrooms, equipment, and mats, handling tasks like trash removal, sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing
- Use the KidStrong Coach App to record attendance, awards, and class data to share with parents
- Communicate professionally with colleagues through company messaging tools
- Complete required training and certification via the HQ Training and Certification programs
- Operate in a physically demanding environment with activities such as moving equipment up to 25 pounds and covering several miles during a shift
- Provide hands-on assistance to children to ensure correct techniques and safety
- Guide parents of younger children (under three) through class procedures
- Participate in monthly programming meetings and additional mandatory staff meetings
- Manage special seasonal classes during school breaks through Coach KidStrong Academy
- Obtain and maintain certification required by the central headquarters
Qualifications
- Strong passion for working with children is essential
- Preferably, experience coaching children within KidStrong’s age range (12 months to 11 years)
- Experience communicating the curriculum benefits to parents is desired
- Intermediate understanding of exercise physiology, body mechanics, and relevant techniques
- CPR certification mandatory
- Positive interpersonal skills with motivational communication style
- Self-motivated and capable of independently completing tasks
- Comfortable in roles requiring visibility and engagement with groups
- Prior pediatric occupational therapy or physical therapy experience is advantageous but not required
Work Schedule and Compensation
- Classes typically held on weekdays from 9 AM to 11 AM and evenings until 7 PM
- Weekend classes generally run from 8 AM until noon
- Flexible hours based upon studio needs, with potential for additional hours through private party coaching
- Compensation ranges from $18 to $22 per hour
