Role Overview

The Chief Technology Officer (CTO) role is a full-time position based in Tweed Heads, NSW, with flexibility for remote work part of the week. Reporting directly to the Founder, the CTO will be responsible for defining the technical vision, steering the engineering department, and collaborating on architectural and developmental strategies for Entity io’s primary software platform. The role involves transforming the product vision into a secure, scalable, and commercially viable system, guiding development from early prototypes through to commercial launch.

Responsibilities

• Develop and define the system architecture and technical roadmap aligned with business needs.
• Lead and manage software engineering teams and oversee product delivery milestones.
• Assist in recruiting and forming a skilled and high-performing technical team.
• Set development standards, manage infrastructure, and ensure adherence to security protocols.
• Design scalable artificial intelligence, automation, data, and integration features.
• Mentor, coordinate, and build effective technical teams to meet aggressive timelines.
• Assess technology partners, platforms, and incorporate emerging technological capabilities.
• Ensure alignment of technical execution with overall product and business objectives.
• Organize team structures, workflows, and systems to facilitate rapid onboarding and maintain development velocity towards market launch.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in designing and delivering complex, scalable software platforms.
• Strong competencies in software architecture and crafting technical strategies.
• Proven leadership in guiding engineering teams and managing technical deliverables.
• Experience in selecting, building, and developing high-performing technical teams.
• Hands-on involvement in product development from prototype stages through to release.
• Familiarity with AI systems, automation, data architecture, and operational software.
• In-depth knowledge of cloud infrastructure, APIs, system integrations, and security best practices.
• Capability to translate visionary product ideas into practical and executable technical solutions.
• Excellent communication skills and collaborative leadership style at the executive level.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related disciplines.
