Role overview
This position is based at Anantara Mina Al Arab Ras Al Khaimah Resort in Ras Al Khaimah, UAE. The resort is part of Anantara Hotels & Resorts, a luxury hospitality brand inspired by Thai heritage and a philosophy of genuine, heartfelt service. The role is suited to a hospitality professional who is passionate about creating memorable guest experiences, leading a concierge team, and maintaining the highest standards of service in a luxury hotel environment.
Key duties
- Lead and oversee Concierge, Bell Desk, Bell Staff, Doormen, valet parking support, and airport transfer arrangements.
- Provide guests with accurate guidance on hotel facilities, nearby attractions, dining options, medical assistance, sightseeing, and other local recommendations.
- Promote the hotel’s own food and beverage venues first, while being fully informed about each outlet’s cuisine and operating hours.
- Keep the lobby area consistently tidy, organised, and presentable.
- Plan efficient duty and leave rosters for Concierge, Doormen, and Bell Services based on occupancy levels, forecasts, and group arrivals or departures.
- Ensure all team members remain well groomed, punctual, and effective in carrying out their assigned tasks.
- Resolve guest-related issues and coordinate with department heads or executive management when the Director of Operations is unavailable.
- Maintain up-to-date departmental standards and procedures that remain aligned with guest expectations and brand requirements.
- Deliver on-the-job training and make sure team members understand and follow service standards.
- Assess training needs and design or implement training programmes to address skill gaps.
- Carry out probation reviews and formal performance appraisals, while coaching, counselling, and disciplining staff as needed.
- Respond to guest questions and requests with a level of courtesy, speed, and professionalism that reflects the hotel brand.
Qualifications and requirements
- Strong background in Concierge and Front Office operations.
- At least 2 years of experience in a management role within a luxury hotel.
- Good working knowledge of computers and property management systems.
- Excellent spoken and written English; additional local or international languages are an advantage.
- Strong guest relations and service recovery skills.
- Les Clefs d’Or certification is mandatory.
- Must be willing to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
