Chief Butler

Role overview

Rosewood Red Sea is hiring a Chief Butler to direct the Butler Service function and deliver polished, highly personalized, and effortless service across villas, suites, and other designated guest spaces. The position plays a key role in designing bespoke guest experiences, staying ahead of individual preferences, and ensuring every service touchpoint is handled with accuracy, discretion, and consistency.

In this leadership role, you will guide the Butler team in upholding Rosewood’s luxury service standards while coordinating closely with Housekeeping, Front Office, Concierge, Food & Beverage, Spa, Laundry, Engineering, and Florist teams to make sure guest preferences, special arrangements, and service expectations are met to the highest level.

Key responsibilities

Lead the Butler Service operation and ensure guests receive proactive, refined, and individualized service.

Manage Butler operations across villas, suites, and assigned guest areas.

Confirm that villas and suites are inspected before arrival and presented in line with service and presentation standards.

Arrange amenities, welcome setups, flowers, fruit, and other special touches so they are delivered correctly and on time.

Record guest preferences, profiles, and service history accurately and make sure they are consistently followed.

Work in close coordination with Housekeeping, Front Office, Concierge, Food & Beverage, Spa, Laundry, Engineering, and Florist teams to deliver smooth service.

Oversee room readiness and track special requests, celebrations, and VIP arrangements.

Respond to guest feedback, concerns, or service issues quickly, professionally, and with care.

Ensure the Butler program is executed according to approved procedures and company standards.

Keep operational logs, guest requests, service records, and follow-up actions updated and accurate.

Control guest supplies, amenities, and special request items needed for Butler operations.

Make sure resort buggies used by the Butler team are safe to operate, properly maintained, and kept to standard.

Handle staffing plans, scheduling, and coverage based on occupancy, villa inventory, and guest needs.

Track departmental stock and resources to support efficiency and reduce wastage.

Coach, lead, and develop the Butler team to maintain strong service quality and team performance.

Run daily briefings, training sessions, and performance follow-ups with the team.

Review and refresh Butler SOPs and working procedures when needed.

Encourage teamwork, accountability, professionalism, and a strong service mindset across the department.

Qualifications and experience

Applicants should have 5 to 7 years of experience in Butler operations, luxury guest services, or Front of House operations, including 2 to 3 years in a leadership position.

Experience in a luxury or ultra-luxury resort, hotel, or branded residence setting is strongly preferred.

A solid understanding of villa and suite service, guest personalization, and luxury service standards is required.

Demonstrated ability to lead and grow a Butler team in a high-touch service environment is important.

Operational knowledge of guest preferences, room readiness, amenities coordination, and service sequencing is needed.

Experience working closely with Housekeeping, Front Office, Food & Beverage, and other operational teams is expected.

Pre-opening exposure is considered an advantage.

Strong leadership, training, and coaching abilities are required.

The role calls for a high level of professionalism, discretion, and precision.

Confidence in managing VIP guests, special requests, and service recovery situations is essential.

Good communication and interpersonal skills are also required.
