Overview
Equans is seeking a dedicated Caretaker to join the team based at Newcastle Fire Station, Elswick NE4 6HL. This role is a permanent, full-time position, requiring 37 hours of work per week. The salary offered is £25,460 per annum along with a comprehensive benefits package.
Working Hours
- Monday to Thursday: 07:30 - 15:30
- Friday: 07:30 - 15:00
Key Responsibilities
The Caretaker will ensure prompt and efficient delivery of services provided to Tyne & Wear Fire and Rescue Authority by Equans at their PFI Estate locations. You will be tasked with completing scheduled maintenance tasks (PPM) following industry standards and plans.
Additional duties will include logging any maintenance issues that occur on-site and managing assigned tasks. This position demands excellent customer service skills and a positive demeanor as it entails direct interaction with customers.
Requirements and Eligibility
- Experience in operational delivery of Facilities Management (FM) services.
- Previous supervisory experience is advantageous.
- Experience in customer-facing roles is required.
- A valid full clean driving license is essential.
- Successful completion of BPSS level vetting including an enhanced DBS clearance is mandatory.
