Role overview
Ryman Healthcare is looking for a caring and dependable Caregiver to join Shona McFarlane Retirement Village in Lower Hutt, Wellington. This role is part of the coverpool and offers a chance to make a real difference by supporting residents with compassion, respect, and teamwork.

Available coverpool hours
- 1 position for 30 hours
- 1 position for 24 hours
- 2 positions for 18 hours each
What the job involves
- Building genuine, long-term connections with residents and their families.
- Delivering care in line with individual resident care plans, with a standard of care you would want for your own family.
- Using Ryman’s purpose-built care technology, including the myRyman app.
- Working closely with teammates to help create a positive and supportive workplace.
About you
- You bring kindness, empathy, and a naturally caring approach.
- You communicate clearly and professionally.
- You are reliable, friendly, and easy to work with.
- Previous experience in aged care is welcomed but not required.
Eligibility
Applicants must have the legal right to work in New Zealand. While overseas applications are sometimes considered, immigration requirements mean this position is only open to candidates with New Zealand work rights.
