Position Overview

We are seeking a committed Cardiac Clinical Specialist to join our ISO 13485 certified organization. This full-time position based in Victor, NY, requires working daytime shifts from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM and offers an annual salary ranging from $100,000 to $125,000. The role involves providing expert clinical and technical support for LSI's cardiac surgical product range, working closely with surgical sales teams, surgeons, perfusionists, nurses, and other operating room staff to facilitate product adoption, education, and procedural assistance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver clinical support for all cardiac surgical devices during procedures.
  • Train surgeons and operating room personnel on product use, handling, and clinical applications.
  • Offer technical assistance intraoperatively during product evaluations, first-time uses, and routine surgeries.
  • Partner with sales consultants to identify clinical opportunities and strengthen customer relationships.
  • Support product launches by providing education, demonstrations, and procedural training.
  • Assist with educational sessions such as in-service programs, workshops, and wet labs.
  • Maintain up-to-date expertise on cardiac procedures, anatomy, and emerging clinical methods.
  • Manage demonstration product inventory and prepare materials for visits and surgeries.
  • Gather and communicate customer feedback, clinical outcomes, market insights, and competitor activity to relevant teams.
  • Handle administrative tasks timely, including expense reporting, case documentation, complaint management, and clinical activity records.
  • Ensure adherence to quality systems, policies, hospital credentialing standards, and regulatory requirements.

Education & Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred in Nursing, Biology, Life Sciences, Business, or related disciplines.
  • Minimum of three years' experience in the medical device field, cardiovascular OR, perfusion, or cardiac clinical environment.
  • Prior exposure to supporting cardiac surgeries in the operating room is desirable.
  • Experience assisting cardiovascular surgeons and hospital teams is highly favored.

Skills and Abilities

  • Deep clinical understanding of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and cardiovascular surgeries.
  • At least three years clinical experience, particularly in OR settings.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and internet tools.
  • Strong interpersonal and effective communication skills.
  • Meticulous organizational skills and ability to maintain accurate records.
