About the Role

We are seeking a passionate Barista with enthusiasm for quality beverages and exceptional customer care to join one of Tesco's Café teams. Whether providing customers with a quick refreshment break or a chance to catch up with friends, your role is to serve delightful coffee, tea, and seasonal drinks that enhance their day. You'll contribute your barista expertise or hospitality experience to the team and help others grow by sharing your skills. At Tesco, putting customers first is our priority, so you'll stay informed about our menu offerings, new initiatives, monitor stock closely, and deliver services swiftly and attentively, catering to individual customer needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Efficiently prepare and serve a variety of drinks to customers, maintaining speed and quality.
• Maintain rigorous food safety and hygiene standards meeting all regulatory requirements.
• Regularly check stock levels and adhere strictly to company policies and procedures.
• Partner with the Café Manager to support and develop fellow team members aspiring to become baristas.
• Keep updated with Tesco communications, promotions, new offers, and menu updates.
• Handle customer complaints professionally and resolve them where possible.

Candidate Requirements

• Prior experience as a Barista or in a hospitality-related role.
• A strong dedication to delivering excellent customer service.
• Ability and confidence to coach and train colleagues inclusively.
• Effective planning and organizational skills.
• Proactive attitude with ability to identify improvements and adapt quickly to changes.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with colleagues and management.
