Role overview
This role leads consolidated base analytics for the prepaid business across all prepaid brands and acts as the main analytical support for forecasting and performance management within the Steering team. It also supports the growth of prepaid analytics capabilities and the newly formed Enterprise Performance Management organization. A core part of the job is maintaining one consistent view of prepaid performance metrics such as subscriber base, gross adds, deactivations, reactivations, net adds, and ARPU across the full prepaid brand portfolio to support reporting, forecasting, and strategic decisions.
What you will do
You will provide insights, analysis, and reporting that help leaders make important strategic and operational choices and shape long-term direction. The position uses data mining, business intelligence, and other analytical methods to turn information into clear recommendations. You will work with business partners in a matrixed environment, including marketing, product, and platform teams, to support complex modeling and analysis requests. The role also contributes to the creation of reporting structures and interfaces and helps manage standardized reports used across teams.
Responsibilities
- Work with teams across T-Mobile to deliver data-backed insights, analysis, and recommendations that improve experiences and outcomes.
- Act as a central contact for data and reporting solutions, including dashboards, visualizations, reports, and self-service tools, and help define success metrics and benchmarks for products and campaigns.
- Use strong analytical and modeling skills to support decisions across multiple options, then present findings and recommendations to different levels of the organization to help guide resource prioritization.
Education and experience
A bachelor's degree in data analysis, data science, another quantitative discipline, or equivalent practical experience is required. The role calls for 4 to 7 years of experience solving analytical problems with quantitative methods, 4 to 7 years of experience in reporting and performance analysis using visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI, and 4 to 7 years of experience in advanced analytics, including SQL work on complex datasets, competitive analysis, quantitative analysis, and research. Experience with Python, R, Go, or a similar statistics/data science language is preferred, and telecommunications experience is also preferred.
Skills and abilities
The ideal candidate is strong in data analysis, problem solving, communication, and financial modeling. They should be comfortable working with broad datasets, translating complex analysis into clear recommendations, managing relationships, and influencing stakeholders in a concise and practical way.
Additional requirements
This is not a remote role. The position follows a hybrid schedule, with the successful candidate expected in the office three days per week. Travel is not required. Candidates must be at least 18 years old and legally authorized to work in the United States.
Compensation and rewards
T-Mobile offers a competitive base salary and compensation package. The base pay range for this role is $77,900 to $140,500, and the corporate bonus target is 15%. Actual starting pay depends on factors such as location, qualifications, and experience.
