Building Manager

Job Overview

We are seeking a Building Manager for our Kingston, Ontario location to manage daily building operations, ensuring maintenance, tenant satisfaction, and administrative tasks are handled efficiently. This full-time role includes a 40-hour workweek supplemented by weekend shifts and on-call duties.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness in common areas and hallways.
• Prepare apartments for incoming tenants.
• Coordinate work orders and carry out minor plumbing and electrical repairs.
• Manage grounds upkeep.
• Respond effectively to tenant concerns and foster positive tenant relationships.
• Conduct apartment showings for prospective residents.
• Collect rents and manage associated records.
• Serve legal notices as required.
• Rent apartments and complete all necessary documentation.
• Ensure resident safety and timely emergency response.
• Maintain logs for fire safety and winter procedures.
• Participate in an on-call rotation schedule.
• Keep accurate inventory and stock records.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Property Manager.

Required Qualifications

• Prior experience in maintenance or cleaning is desirable.
• Obtain company-sponsored First Aid certification.
• Capable of lifting items up to 20 kg (such as trash bags and cleaning equipment).
• Dependability, meticulousness, and commitment to safe work practices.
• Strong teamwork and communication abilities.
• Exceptional customer service skills.
