Role Overview

As a Billing & Payments Implementation Consultant, you will spearhead the rollout of one of ECP's newest product lines tailored to diverse customer financial workflows. Your role will involve managing the complexities unique to each customer implementation, shaping those experiences into scalable processes and documentation for the team.

You'll serve as the finance liaison for customers, transforming implementation challenges into actionable product feedback. Your work will lay the foundation for future Billing implementations and contribute significantly to the success of the Billing product. The position reports directly to the VP of Growth and involves close collaboration with the Product, Customer Success, Sales, and Leadership teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end Billing and Payments implementations including gathering requirements, advising on financial processes, configuring solutions, and acting as the financial operations expert through go-live phases.
• Manage accounting system integrations by defining data flows, configuration necessities, and impacts on financial reporting.
• Identify and resolve potential billing risks or issues that could impact revenue integrity, reporting accuracy, or customer trust; escalate critical concerns with detailed analysis and recommended actions.
• Build strong partnerships with customers to foster adoption by clarifying how the Billing solution aligns with their financial and operational goals; interact via various communication methods including occasional onsite visits.
• Support sales efforts as a Billing expert during demos and customer discovery phases to ensure product fit and identify any gaps requiring resolution for smooth implementation.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering to communicate real-world implementation challenges and suggest pragmatic solutions.
• Continuously refine implementation methods by analyzing outcomes, discovering patterns, and updating documentation to enhance repeatability; maintain accurate project records and documentation accessible to the team.

Essential Requirements

• Minimum 3 years' experience in accounting, finance, billing, accounts receivable, financial operations, software implementation, customer success, or closely related fields.
• Proven background working directly with customers on complex billing, payments, ERP, or financial operations systems.
• Strong analytical skills for reviewing accounting and billing data, identifying discrepancies, and troubleshooting across configurations and financial reports.
• Solid understanding of accounting fundamentals including debits, credits, journal entries, and reconciliations.
• Project management capability spanning scope definition, scheduling, risk management, and cross-team coordination.
• Comprehensive knowledge of billing and accounting concepts: invoicing, credits, payments, accounts receivable aging, adjustments, and reconciliations.
• Ability to thrive in environments with evolving processes and requirements.
• Experience collaborating effectively across Product, Engineering, Customer Success, Support, and Operations teams.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% as needed for customers and business.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with ERP or accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage Intacct, NetSuite, or similar platforms.
• Background in sectors like senior living, healthcare, fintech, ERP, or revenue cycle management.
