About the Role

Aramark Remote Workplace Services, in collaboration with Moose Cree group of companies, is seeking skilled Bakers for a remote lodge located near Timmins, Ontario. Bakers will be responsible for preparing an extensive range of baked goods including pastries, pies, cookies, squares, cakes, and other bakery items. The role involves coordinating and overseeing the production and timely delivery of large-scale baking operations strictly adhering to established methods and standards. Candidates with experience in professional remote camp or commercial baking settings are preferred.

Job Duties

• Prepare a variety of bakery products according to recipe and production guidelines.
• Set up baking workstations by ensuring all necessary ingredients and tools are available.
• Measure, weigh, mix, and prepare ingredients accurately.
• Operate baking equipment such as ovens, stoves, and mixers safely and efficiently.
• Handle utensils, including knives, with proper safety procedures.
• Store baked goods following food safety protocols.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, equipment, and utensils.
• Provide excellent customer service and maintain a positive interaction with guests, clients, and coworkers.
• Comply with Aramark's safety policies, including proper food safety and sanitation standards.
• Protect company property and assets.

Qualifications

• Previous baking experience or a related role is advantageous.
• Sound understanding of baking techniques, standards, and food safety regulations.
• Food safety certification(s) must be obtained as required.
• Basic math aptitude and counting skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

• Transportation assistance offered from Timmins or Cochrane, Ontario, with travel allowances available for candidates from farther locations.
• Work rotation involves 14 days onsite followed by 14 days offsite.

• The position may involve physical activities such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and prolonged walking or standing.
• Uniforms and personal protective equipment (PPE) usage may be required.
