Automotive Mechanic

Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Automotive Mechanic to join our team. The candidate will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing various automotive systems including brakes, engines, and transmissions. Routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes and tire rotations are also part of the role. Proficiency in the use of diagnostic tools and maintaining accurate service records is essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and fix issues in vehicle systems efficiently.
• Carry out routine car maintenance and inspections.
• Use diagnostic instruments to assess vehicle conditions.
• Keep thorough documentation of all repairs and services performed.
• Maintain effective communication with customers regarding vehicle problems and solutions.
• Ensure the workshop is organized, clean, and safe for all employees.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum educational qualification: High School diploma or equivalent.
• Vocational training in automotive repairs would be advantageous.
• Between 3 and 5 years of hands-on experience in automotive maintenance and repair.

Skills and Competencies

• Strong mechanical aptitude and automotive troubleshooting skills.
• Capable of conducting vehicle test drives and damage evaluations.
• Accurate in conducting vehicle surveys and assessments.
• Attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
• Good communication skills to interact with customers effectively.

• Work is primarily based in an auto repair shop.
• May involve exposure to noise, fumes, and handling heavy machinery.
