Role Overview
This role is integral to managing the operations of talabat's proprietary grocery cloud store, tMart, which offers hypermarket-priced groceries delivered within 30 minutes. This fast-growing service is operational in multiple MENA countries including Kuwait, UAE, Qatar, Jordan, Bahrain, Egypt, Oman, and Iraq.
Responsibilities
- Manage all store operations during assigned shifts, including staff supervision, order management, inbound receiving, stocking, and fulfillment of pick-and-pack grocery orders.
- Assist the Store Supervisor with day-to-day activities such as personnel selection, shift scheduling, and routine/preventive maintenance of the store.
- Support inventory replenishment efforts by ensuring adequate stock levels, avoiding out-of-stock or overstock situations, using demand planner input and physical stock assessments.
- Implement inventory control processes, including regular stock-taking and cycle counts, to maintain precise inventory records.
- Ensure accuracy in receiving inbound orders per company policies and standard operating procedures (SOP).
- Guarantee efficient and precise picking and packing of outbound customer orders according to SOP standards.
- Monitor fulfillment processes and suggest enhancements to improve efficiency and profitability.
- Handle store-related shrinkage controls under the Store Supervisor's direction.
- Uphold standards of hygiene, sanitation, security, safety, and customer service within the store during the shift.
- Collaborate actively with the Store Supervisor by discussing operational issues and presenting possible solutions.
Qualifications
- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in supermarket or restaurant operational management.
- Motivated by dynamic challenges and eager to learn continuously on the job.
- Strong communication abilities coupled with a practical approach to using various tools.
- Excellent interpersonal and intercultural competencies.
- Fluency in English is required; Arabic language skills are strongly favored.
