Position Overview
Located in Rydalmere, NSW, this full-time role as Assistant Production Coordinator is integral to ensuring efficient and smooth fashion and textile design production operations. You will oversee daily assembly activities, enhancing quality, efficiency, and safety on the factory coverings line.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and update daily production schedules, job assignments, and workflow plans.
- Verify accuracy and availability of work orders, cut sheets, and all production documentation.
- Monitor order progress and address any delays, shortages, or re-sequencing issues.
- Liaise with warehouse teams to ensure timely material availability and maintain component records.
- Manage production boards, reporting templates, and maintain quality documentation.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives including HDMS reporting and conducting 5S audits.
- Serve as a primary communication bridge between Production, Customer Service, Warehouse, and Quality teams.
- Assist with WHS administrative tasks, maintaining safety records and managing incident follow-ups.
- Perform additional duties as required.
Candidate Profile
- Background in manufacturing or assembly environments; prior experience in blind production is a plus.
- Excellent organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Adept at working with schedules, data management, and structured processes.
- Capable of juggling multiple priorities in a busy production setting.
- Strong communication skills combined with disciplined follow-up.
- Preferred qualifications include Certificate or Diploma in Business, Operations, Manufacturing, or related fields.
- Familiarity with Lean methodologies, 5S, or continuous improvement practices is advantageous.
