Role Overview

The Assistant Procurement Manager - Marketing will support procurement and supplier relationship management across various marketing categories such as Creative & Production, Media, PR, Influencer Agencies, Events, Content Creation, Brand Partnerships, Digital Marketing, and Marketing Technology. Reporting to the Global Head of Indirect Procurement and collaborating closely with the Procurement Manager and marketing teams, this role entails managing sourcing projects, supplier performance, contract negotiations, and procurement compliance to optimize costs and deliver value. The position requires handling multiple projects in a fast-paced, digitally advanced environment, with a global scope.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct spend mapping analysis of all indirect expenses and present cost-saving insights to the Marketing Procurement Manager.
  • Generate and maintain procurement reports including evaluations of supplier performance, cost trends, and contract statuses.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, regulatory requirements, and sustainability criteria in all procurement activities.
  • Support negotiation efforts with suppliers to secure advantageous contract terms, pricing, and service levels.
  • Assist in evaluating and managing supplier relationships to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and reliability of marketing procurement.
  • Manage contract administration ensuring compliance with agreed terms and conditions for marketing procurement.
  • Participate in sourcing activities guided by the marketing category lead.
  • Provide comprehensive tender support, including preparation and evaluation of RFIs/RFPs, and compiling analyses and scorecards.
  • Coordinate Quarterly Business Reviews (QBR) with key suppliers, organize annual meetings, track improvement actions, and monitor KPIs.
  • Oversee rebate management with regular communication with the finance team to ensure accurate accruals and audit readiness.
  • Lead specific cost initiative projects aligned with personal developmental goals and the Head of Indirect Procurement's savings targets.
  • Occasionally assist with projects in other indirect procurement categories.

This role reports directly to the Global Head of Sourcing - Indirect.

Candidate Profile

  • Adept at rapidly assimilating new information and effectively sharing knowledge with the team.
  • Meticulous attention to detail, capable of managing several projects simultaneously without errors.
  • Strong time management skills to balance competing demands and meet deadlines.
  • Proficient in project management, including sourcing tenders and RFP protocols.
  • Keen commercial awareness with a desire to develop negotiation skills and build strong supplier and stakeholder relationships.
  • Self-directed with the ability to prioritize workload and deliver outcomes with minimal supervision.
  • Experienced with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with Monday.com project management software is advantageous.

Experience & Technical Expertise

  • Previous procurement experience in a digitally advanced sector or an online cosmetics/personal care retailer.
  • Proven capability in project management.
  • Demonstrated success in building and maintaining operational stakeholder relationships.
  • Experience supporting digital/SaaS procurement activities.
  • Background in performance management service procurement is beneficial.
  • Advanced data analysis skills with Excel, including use of V-lookups, nested IF functions, pivot tables, and filters.
  • Comfortable working with ambiguous or incomplete data.
